Shaun studied at the then Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) and completed his BCom Acc (Hons/CTA) in 2000.  He then joined Deloitte’s financial services team in 2001 where he completed his articles and qualified as a Chartered Accountant CA (SA).

In 2004 he joined SABMiller's Corporate Finance and Development team, where he spent eight years providing M&A and other related corporate finance advice for the global brewing group.  While at SABMiller, Shaun completed his MBA at the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business and he attended the University of Chicago Booth School of Business on an international MBA exchange programme.

Shaun joined RMB Corvest in 2013. He has since concluded several transactions including: AutoTrader; Novita Shoes; Sunspray; Goldrush; Micros and Averge Technologies. Shaun also serves on various investee company boards within the RMB Corvest portfolio.

Outside of work, Shaun’s two young boys ensure that he and his wife are always kept busy.  Shaun is a classic car enthusiast and competitive historic racing car driver.
