Rethabile started his career in 2013 as a CA Trainee with the FirstRand Group and after completing his articles he remained at Rand Merchant Bank in their Corporate Finance team.

Rethabile subsequently gained experience in Leveraged Finance and Private Equity having been involved in a number of transactions across various financial institutions, the most recent of which being Nedbank Private Equity. He joined RMB Corvest in 2025.

Rethabile completed his B.Acc (Hons) degree at the University of the Free State in 2012 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant CA (SA) in January 2016.

Rethabile is married with one little boy.
