Melanie obtained her BCom Accounting (Honours) degree from the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2009, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) in 2012.

Melanie started her career in 2010 as a CA trainee in the Financial Services division at PricewaterhouseCoopers. During her articles, she was exposed to some of the major local banks, which piqued her interest in financial services. Post articles, Melanie joined the Industrial Development Corporation as a transactor where she worked on an array of acquisition and expansionary transactions, with a focus on senior debt, mezzanine debt and equity. In 2018, she joined the Nedbank Specialised Finance team where she was involved in acquisition and leveraged finance transactions in the mid-corporate market. Melanie joined RMB Corvest in 2022.

Outside of work, Melanie loves travelling and exploring new places.
