Francois completed his BCom Accounting Sciences (Hons) degree at the University of Pretoria in 2002. He then joined the Capital Markets and Treasury team of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Pretoria to undertake his articles. The team merged with the Financial Services team of the Sunninghill office, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant CA (SA) in 2005, and now also holds an M.Com Taxation degree.

Post articles Francois went on a short-term secondment to PwC London where he worked closely with the tax team to audit the global structured finance transactions of a multi-national bank. On his return to South Africa he joined RMB Corvest in September 2006 as financial manager.

Francois progressed to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2007 and to Chief Technical Officer (CTO) in February 2014. He provides internal transaction guidance and control on legal, tax, BEE and exchange control considerations. He has been involved in numerous notable private equity transactions during this time which includes Kwikot; Seesa; Excellerate; Innovation Group; Oxford Parks and Plush Professional Leather Care.

Francois enjoys running and mountain biking. He is happily married and is the proud parent of a boy and a girl.
